SONG-A-WEEK: 7' WOMAN ~ RICK BERLIN

Robby and I went to a house party across the street from the Brendan Behan (we could hear what was going from a block away). A cool band was playing in the living room. We knew no one there, and figured we'd leave pretty quick. On our way out we saw this incredible girl who had to be at least 7 feet tall. She was extraordinary. Beautiful. Lanky. Wild mini-skirt and black webbed stockings. She seemed to know the band and was dancing right there in front of us. Robby spotted her a few weeks later outside the Middle East. We got her phone number, and I asked if she'd be in a video of the song. She declined. Lucky for us, Tom Lutz was willing to impersonate her. His sister, Nora, arrived with make-up, bra, belt, skirt, the works. We shot it fast, 15 minutes. Tom was awesome, and TJ played the 'boyfriend'. Robby and Jesse (who play parallel solos in the tune) performed the hippie interlude. But, needless to say, Tom is the STAR, right! What a dude.
